All during the year, Jáveans hold breathtaking religious feasts and competition.


This is how grandiose people of Jávea show their infinite passion to God that in each Every month should always present you with at least a magnificent festival

Even almost every day in Christmas season and summer time, a fiesta tradition brimming with anticipation and surprises is being held.


To jump start the impressive year filled with fiestas, there's a commemoration of Three Kings arriving by boat at the Port to start out the celebration through the streets of Jávea on the evening hours of the first Sunday of January - The Three Kings Fiesta.



Feast of San Antonio - a celebration in honouring of San Antoni on January 11, a mid-month weekend happening


The last but not the least should be the Feast of San Sebastian - the patron saint of pets generally observed by a parade and blessing of domestic pets.



Carnival or parade of costumes is celebrated in February pursued by a Spanish day of observance celebrating the end of carnival as well as other gatherings "El entierro de la sardina" or the Burial of the Sardine

In April, Easter Artisan Craft Fair in the Old Town of Jávea and La Semana Santa are commemorated.



May is presented by The Fiesta of Santa Cruz where Jávean’s get to show in the streets crosses made out of flowers.
The people of Jávea get to exhibit crosses in the streets made out of flowers to celebrate Fiesta Santa Cruz in May which is also a competition.


In June, there are two celebrations: the "Proclamation of Queens", a beauty and popularity contest at the Plaza de la Constitucion and a week-long fiesta of St. Joan- Fiesta of Bonfires celebrated with a wild flaming horn bull run and the burning of the "foguera," papier mache statues.



Feast of the Virgen del Carmen, Pilgrimage in honor of the Virgen del Rocío and Moros y Cristianos in Duanes de la Mar are prominent in July.


August and September holds the main celebration which is the feast of the patron of the Port of Jávea Our Lady of Loreto ("Mare de Déu de Loreto" ) and in October, the Day of the Valencian Community.


Jávean celebrates Christmas Day with the whole world in December.


Characteristics of each of the Jávea's fiesta include parade, floats, processions, paintings, artwork, wines, foods, drinks, fireworks, bullrunning and fun games.
