Jay-Z Calls Watch The Throne Tour The 'Best Party'

'The most important thing is that the people that are coming to the concert are leaving there thrilled,' Hov tells MTV News.
By Rob Markman, with reporting by Jim Cantiello

The fans aren't the only ones having a ball during Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne Tour. A hoarse Jay walked the red carpet of the GQ Men of the Year party in Hollywood on Thursday, and he could hardly contain his excitement.

"We're having a great time," Hov told MTV News' Jim Cantiello. "The most important thing is that the people that are coming to the concert are leaving there thrilled and we're having an amazing time. As you see, I don't have a voice," he laughed.

The tour, which kicked off last month in Atlanta, has been running for less than a month but has been met with rave reviews on each outing. Noted for its dual elevated stages and artsy video montages, Hov and 'Ye's grandiose WTT run has been one worthy of the royal rap duo. Aside from their Throne cuts, Jay and Kanye have pulled from their respective solo catalogs, performing early hits like "Where I'm From" and "Through the Wire," as well as new favorites like "Empire State of Mind" and "Runaway."

The highlight, however, is the duo's current single "N---as in Paris." Toward the end of the opening show in Atlanta, the two MCs performed the song twice; the next night, three times. At recent New York and Miami concerts, the track has been performed as many as four times in a single night. The Throne are slated to hit Connecticut's Mohegan Sun on Friday night (November 18) and Atlantic City on Saturday.

"It's like the best party you've ever been to every night," Jay said. "It's star-studded and it's music and it's just unbelievable."

'Men In Black 3' Trailer: Five Key Scenes

Expect the Will Smith series' famously wacky aliens and humor, along with some time traveling.
By Kevin P. Sullivan

Twelve years and a purported budget of $215 million later, the men in black will be back for a third go-around. The first trailer for "Men in Black 3" hit Monday (December 12), and Agents K (Tommy Lee Jones) and J (Will Smith) are up to their same old, same old: rogue aliens, memory-erasing — normal work stuff.

We've watched the trailer a few times now and have picked out the five scenes you should be paying attention to. Here's a tip: You should probably brush up on your "Back to the Future" vocabulary.

The Graffiti Alien
One of the staples of the series has been the routine calls to aliens who have stepped out of their bounds, and it's always when the series is at its best. The "Men in Black" films have consistently delivered with interesting looking aliens, and the trailer for the third is no exception. Here, we get to see an E.T. who can disguise himself as street art. Expect even more out-of-this-world aliens when the movie hits theaters in May.

Neuralizer
You know it's a "Men in Black" movie once the neuralizers come out. Although the trailer mostly sets up the premise for the third movie without exploring the last two acts, the one thing that is perfectly clear is that we shouldn't expect anything different in a third film. The series seems to stick close to a tight formula, and that's fine. Let's just hope they mix it up more this time.

"Smiles Like This"
While other parts of the trailer might remind us of some of the more tired elements of the series, Smith's imitation of Jones' smile brings back memories of why the movies make money. It's been three years since a Will Smith flick, and now's definitely the time for that to change.

Time Jump
Toward the end of the trailer, we start to see hints of the bigger story. As we learn from Emma Thompson's Agent Oh, something happens to the space-time continuum, and K has been dead for 40 years. That introduces the movie's main arc, J's Marty McFly-like adventure back to the past to save his partner from the unfortunate new fate.

Young K
All is revealed at the end of the trailer. J wakes up next to a very confused, very young Agent K, played by the perfectly cast Josh Brolin. They sound and look so much alike, even with just one line from the younger version. J and Young K will work together for most of the movie to stop the events from the alternate future.

"Men in Black 3" opens on May 25, 2012.

Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey Play Santa In 'Christmas' Clip

Bieber debuts 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' video (and performs with Busta Rhymes and Usher) during 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center.'

Deck the halls! The holiday kicked into high gear Wednesday night (November 30) when New York's massive Christmas tree was lit during "Christmas in Rockefeller Center." Plenty of A-listers were on hand, including Justin Bieber, who premiered his highly anticipated video for "All I Want for Christmas Is You," featuring Mariah Carey.

Before the strings of lights were illuminated, performances from Michael Bublé, Katharine McPhee, Big Time Rush, Tony Bennett, Carole King and Neil Diamond warmed viewers up. But Bieber was the headline act of the night, giving fans some big performances and an even bigger video premiere.

Bieber amped up the energy with his hip-hop-ified take on the Christmas classic "Little Drummer Boy," which included him spitting a holiday-themed rhyme. Decked in all black, the teen star had the crowd screaming. He was even joined by Busta Rhymes, who appears on the Under the Mistletoe cut.

JB then slowed things down with "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)," leaving his female fans swooning as he crooned the holiday standard. He was joined by his mentor Usher for the track.

"God bless and Merry Christmas," Bieber told the crowd before tossing to the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" video. The clip features Mariah Carey dressed in a sexy Santa Claus outfit standing in a department store as she dances around singing the track, almost as if she's on display for holiday shoppers. It also sees Bieber and his pals shopping for some choice holiday gifts like high-top kicks.

In between performance shots of Bieber and Mariah, a street-corner Santa Claus hands out envelopes to shoppers on the street, teasing an inevitable yuletide party scene. The shoppers are then welcomed into the department store, where Justin and Mariah hand out gifts to everyone. The duo tease and flirt with each other as everyone around them unwraps their gifts.

Bieber and Carey re-recorded her classic holiday tune for his chart-topping holiday album, which also features appearances from the Band Perry and Boyz II Men. They filmed the video earlier this month, just in time for the holiday season.

Did Bieber get you in the holiday spirit? Let us know in the comments!

'Dark Shadows': Johnny Depp, Vampires, Spooky First Looks In 2011

We relive the best moments of the year as production on Tim Burton's 2012 adaptation finally kicked off.
By John Mitchell

Photo: Warner Bros. Pictures

This year, filming finally began on director Tim Burton's long-in-the-works big-screen adaptation of "Dark Shadows," a campy, late-1960s soap opera about vampires, witches and time travel. Burton is a lifelong fan of the series and, as his partner Helena Bonham Carter told MTV News this month, "This was a thing that he raced home to see when he was about age 10."

With its atmospheric New England setting and myriad mysterious characters, "Shadows" has the feel of a classic Burton film, more akin to his "Sleepy Hollow" and "Batman" flicks than his more candy-colored efforts like "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." And Burton at his dark and spooky best, working on a passion project, is something to get excited about.

Production began on "Shadows" at Pinewood Studios outside of London in May. The director lined up a dream cast — from Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer to Chloe Moretz and Jackie Earle Haley, not a single part appears miscast.

And while Burton has kept the film under lock and key, paparazzi did catch a fleeting glimpse of Depp during production, which briefly became cause for worry among some fans of the series. The shot of Depp in character as Barnabus Collins, wearing heavy white makeup walking down a seaside hill, found its way online in mid-September and was derided by fans as being too cartoonish, too reminiscent of Depp's styling in Burton's "Alice in Wonderland." Based on those initial images, the world Burton looked to be creating seemed to have little in common with the Gothic aesthetic established in the soap.

Concerns were alleviated, however, when just a week later, Entertainment Weekly debuted the first official image from the film. Through Burton's lens (and some creepy filters), Depp's makeup took on the undead-but-oddly alluring look you'd expect from a traditional vampire movie. The rest of the cast captured the feel of their TV counterparts too: Pfeiffer looked regal and sullen as family matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard; Johnny Lee Miller's smarm as Roger Collins was apparent; and Bonham Carter looked every bit the orange-haired, eccentric "alcoholic psychiatrist," Dr. Julia Hoffman.

Of the film, Moretz, who plays Carolyn Stoddard, had this to say when talking to MTV News last month: "It straddles the typical Burton line: camp and drama. It's an amazing movie. Going in and working on this movie with Tim Burton and Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena Bonham Carter — it really does get back to Tim's roots. It gets back to 'Beetlejuice,' 'Edward Scissorhands,' back to true Burton. So working on this movie was epic for me because he's always been my dream director to work with because, god, he's so iconic."

Moretz's "Shadows" co-stars share the love for Burton. Pfeiffer, who worked with the director on 1992's"Batman Returns," described work on the new film as a "dream job." "[It is] such a fun cast and we had so much fun. I just love working with Tim [Burton], I love watching him direct. [There's] nobody like him," she told MTV News. "I loved meeting Helena and getting to know her. I hope it's successful so that we can do a bunch of them because it was such a fantastic, creative group of people."

Hopefully, that on-set camaraderie and excitement will help "Shadows" fulfill fans' high expectations. The original soap spanned some 1,225 episodes, so there's plenty of plot for sequels if Pfeiffer gets her wish. While we're still waiting for a trailer for the May 11, 2012, release (come on, Tim, give us something!), what we've seen so far gives us faith that Burton and Co. are getting it all exactly right!

Are you looking forward to seeing what Tim Burton and co. cook up for "Dark Shadows"? Sound off in the comments below and tweet me at @JohnMitchell83 with your thoughts and suggestions for future columns!

Justin Bieber Accuser Will Submit Baby For DNA Test

Mariah Yeater's lawyer in paternity case says that while lawsuit has been dropped, negotiations for settlement are ongoing.
By John Mitchell

Justin Bieber reportedly took a DNA test Friday in response to the paternity case brought against him by Mariah Yeater, a 20-year-old California woman alleging the singer fathered her 4-month-old son, and now Yeater's attorney tells TMZ his client will submit her baby for testing.

Late last month, Yeater filed a lawsuit claiming she became pregnant by Bieber during a backstage encounter following his October 25, 2010, concert at the Los Angeles Staples Center. Yeater withdrew her paternity suit a few weeks later and was dropped as a client by her initial legal team in mid-November. She went on to hire new counsel, led by Chicago-based attorney Jeffrey Leving, who told MTV News that while the suit had been dropped, negotiations for a settlement were ongoing.

Bieber's legal team vehemently denies the allegations and has stated from the get-go that it might pursue legal action to protect the pop star from further false claims. "As we've said from the beginning, it's sad that someone would fabricate such a malicious, defamatory and demonstrably false claim," Bieber's spokesman, Matthew Hiltzik, said in a statement. "We'll continue to consider all of our options to protect Justin."

What Are Bieber's Legal Options Now That Yeater Has Dropped Her Suit? After reports surfaced that Bieber took a DNA test in New Jersey, TMZ reported Yeater was deliberately avoiding having her child tested because she knew the results would serve as evidence against her, should Bieber's team file suit for defamation or abuse of the legal process. Her lawyer is now dispelling that notion, telling the gossip site that his client "can't wait" to submit her young son for testing.

Leving, however, claimed he has a problem with the DNA test Bieber reportedly submitted because a member of his team was not present when it was administered. The lawyer said he has been in touch with Bieber's legal counsel, headed by Howard Weitzman, and hopes both teams can reach an agreement on DNA-testing protocol.

Bieber has maintained a positive attitude throughout the ordeal. He has not altered the promotional tour for his holiday album, Under the Mistletoe, including a recent performance at the American Music Awards and on the "Today" show, and told MTV News last week at the Pencils of Promise charity event that he's doing "great."

Earlier that day, he spoke of the paternity case briefly with New York's Z100 radio station, saying, "As far as the whole baby situation, it's unfortunate that it had to happen like that. People make false accusations, but things happen in this industry, and you have to keep your head high and be positive."

Britney Spears '30 Videos For 30 Years' Winner Revealed!

Nearly 1 million votes were cast in the contest for MTV News' tournament to crown the Best Britney Video of All Time.
By Vaughn Trudeau Schoonmaker

Over the course of two weeks, nearly one million votes cast in MTV News' Britney Spears Tournament: 30 Videos for 30 Years, and on Friday (December 2) — which also happens to be the pop superstar's 30 birthday — we reached our final tally.

You, the fans, decided the crown for the Best Britney Video of All Time is goes to ... "I'm A Slave 4 U"!

Released in September 2001, the Francis Lawrence-directed video is still as influential a pop music clip 10 years later. Britney performed the song for the first time at the '01 MTV Video Music Awards, using a jungle-themed set filled with exotic animals, including a tiger and a now-iconic white boa constrictor snake, which she wrapped around her shoulders.

"Slave" defeated the Chris Marrs Piliero-directed runner-up "Criminal" by a wide margin, with nearly 69 percent of the vote. "Criminal," Britney's most recent video from this year's Femme Fatale release, made its way to the top two by beating out some of Britney's best-loved videos, from "Stronger" to "I Wanna Go" to (in a shocking defeat) her debut video "... Baby One More Time."

We want to know what you think of "Slave" winning it all in our 30 Videos for 30 Years tournament. Sound off in the comments section and send your birthday wishes to Britney!

Ke$ha Wants 'Till The World Ends' Remix To 'Take Over Airwaves'

Singer says her collaboration with Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj made a 'supergroup of three hot, strong women.'
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Matt Elias

Photo: MTV News

Earlier this week, Britney Spears, Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj dropped their femme-fatale-friendly remix of the Spears club track "Till the World Ends." The already fun song got super-charged thanks to Minaj's cutting verses and Ke$ha's recognizable vocals.

"I'm a massive fan of both the ladies I share the track with," K told MTV News on Wednesday at the ASCAP Pop Music Awards. "I wrote 'TTWE' for Britney with [producers] Dr. Luke and Max [Martin] and she killed it and I loved it, but I just thought a supergroup of three hot, strong women could just take over the airwaves."

Ke$ha went on to give props to both the ladies. "I'm such a massive fan of Britney and I'm such a massive supporter of Nicki and a fan, and chicks sometimes don't team up. I don't know why, but I'm, like, huge on the girl power, so I just wanted to make a power girl track take over."

The remix quickly won praise from fans who seem to think the new features step up the song's game. "You know, with the three of us, I wasn't necessarily surprised [people like it] because I'm such a massive fan of Nicki Minaj and obviously with Britney I'm a fan of it, [taking] myself out of the equation," she said. "I'm just happy people like it."

So did Ke$ha (who once sang backup for Spears) feel any pressure writing a song for Britney? "There was no pressure. Writing for somebody else is really fun 'cause I consider myself a songwriter first and foremost," she explained. "So it was so much fun to put my brain in the sexy Britney Spears brain and express myself almost as if I were possessed by her."

Freddie Gibbs Is Tough Candidate For Hottest Breakthrough MC

Gangsta Gibbs' mixtapes earned him a deal with Young Jeezy and a spot on MTV News' 2011 Hottest Breakthrough list — vote now!

When Freddie Gibbs joined Sway on "RapFix Live" in September, the Gary, Indiana, native was firm in insisting that he would never stray from the deeply lyrical gangster rap that fans now expect from him. His recent deal with Young Jeezy's CTE label bolstered his efforts and kept the spotlight on his releases this year, earning him a nomination for MTV News' Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2011.

Despite a fizzled deal with Interscope Records in 2007, Gibbs (born Frederick Tipton) continued his rise to lyrical prominence by dropping popular mixtapes, including 2009's The Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs and Midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik. The success of those two mixtapes landed him a spot on XXL's 2010 Freshman cover, but that was only the beginning for Gangsta Gibbs.

The 29-year-old rapper continued his manic music run, releasing the independent EP Str8 Killa No Filla via Decon Records in 2010, and in April he made his biggest career move thus far, inking a new deal with Young Jeezy's CTE (Corporate Thugz Entertainment).

Besides teaming up with the Snowman on singles like "Run DMC" and "Do It for You," Gibbs put in some extra time in the lab, turning out his mixtape Cold Day in Hell in October. The project showcased his growth, with standout cuts including "Anything to Survive" and "Menace II Society" and a slew of guest features from Freeway, Jeezy, Juicy J and 2 Chainz.

Major label or not, don't expect Gibbs to soften the content of his material anytime soon. "I wanna be taboo. I want your parents to not want my music in your iPod," Gibbs told MTV News. "I want your mom to be scared of what I'm talking about because it's so real." His fellow contenders for Hottest Breakthrough MC should probably be scared too.

Hottest Breakthrough MCs was established by MTV News in 2010 as a fan-driven initiative that spotlights, celebrates and cultivates new talent. MTV News chose a pool of young rappers and urged fans to vote for their favorite. When it was all said and done, Wiz Khalifa emerged as the Hottest Breakthrough of last year. The competition was tough, but the Taylor Gang General beat out runner-up Nicki Minaj, ATL group Travis Porter, Diggy Simmons and J. Cole. This year, you can vote for Machine Gun Kelly (or your favorite up-and-comer) over at RapFix.MTV.com, and be sure to check back for daily updates and poll results.

Each day, we'll spotlight a new Hottest Breakthrough MC before we conclude on December 13 when the polls close at 11:59 p.m. ET. The 2011 Hottest Breakthrough MC will be revealed during December 14's "RapFix Live," during which the winner will appear as our in-studio guest. There will also be a special announcement about MTV News' upcoming Hottest MCs in the Game list and debate.

To be considered a Hottest Breakthrough MC, an artist cannot have released a major-label full-length album. Finalists from 2010's Hottest Breakthrough MCs poll will not be eligible for 2011 consideration, so unfortunately, Diggy Simmons and Travis Porter won't be part of this conversation.

Britney Spears Video Tournament Down To Final Four!

In a shocking upset, 'Toxic' gets served by 'I'm a Slave 4 U,' while 'Lucky' and 'Criminal' shimmy into round four.

Voting in round three of MTV News' Britney Spears Tournament: 30 Videos for 30 Years has officially closed and we're now down to the Final Four. Will "Lucky" get lucky against the naughtier "Criminal" video? Will "Hold It Against Me" get served by "I'm a Slave 4 U"? Second-round voting is now open so you can help decide.

At the end of round three, "Lucky" pushed ahead of "Till the World Ends" at the last minute, beating the newer video by less than 0.5 percent of the vote. And although "Stronger" held the lead for most of the third round, "Criminal" overpowered the 2000 video late Tuesday night.

Britney's collaborator on "Me Against the Music," Madonna, officially exited the tournament after the duet fell to "Hold It Against Me," which also came as a last-minute surprise since the Brit/Madge collabo held the advantage for most of round three.

In perhaps the most competitive pairing of the third round, two of Britney's widely celebrated videos, "Toxic" and "I'm a Slave 4 U" were pitted against each other, but sweaty Britney out-danced double-agent Britney. MTV News' Britney video experts have already predicted that "Slave 4 U" will be the biggest threat in the Final Four.

Head over to Britney30.MTV.com and vote for your favorite music video in MTV News' Britney Spears Tournament: 30 Videos for 30 Years.

Voting for the top four clips is open until 7 a.m. Thursday; the top two will be unveiled at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning, followed by the big reveal of the winner at 10 a.m. ET on Friday, which happens to be Britney's 30th birthday.

'New Year's Eve' Stars Offer More Holiday Movie Ideas

Following 'Valentine's Day' and 'New Year's,' Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel come up with some new ideas.

With the release of this year's most star-studded romantic comedy, "New Year's Eve," just a day away, it's time to consider what holiday director Garry Marshall might tackle next in order to add to his holiday-themed ensemble canon, which also includes last year's hit "Valentine's Day."

When MTV News caught up with a few of the stars of "New Year's Eve," we asked them to put their thinking caps on to select a worthy and appropriate holiday to write around. The task proved slightly difficult, in that not all holidays are universally celebrated and accepted.

"I was actually thinking about that yesterday," Katherine Heigl said. "It has to be universal so it can sell domestically and internationally. But what are other holidays that the whole world celebrates? Thanksgiving is out, Christmas, I guess he could do Christmas, but now that he's done New Year's Eve, can you do it in reverse? I don't know. Well, I know Columbus Day is out, President's Day is out, Memorial Day? Doesn't everyone celebrate that?"

Like Heigl, Josh Duhamel seemed to have already put thought into the question as well.

"St. Patrick's Day, yes. It's about a crazy little leprechaun in Ireland," he said. "Does everyone celebrate St. Patrick's Day? You got to pick a holiday that everybody celebrates. We couldn't do Columbus Day; even Canadians don't celebrate that."

"Veterans Day," offered Jake T. Austin. "I think the next film I got offered was Christmas Eve," he joked. "Let's do it, I'm ready!"

'Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' Track List Revealed

You kind of can't go wrong when the soundtrack you've put together for one of the most eagerly anticipated literary adaptations in years kicks off Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer Karen O's take on Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song."

Fans heard the throbbing industrial take on the rock classic cooked up by former Nine Inch Nails mastermind and O when a trailer for the David Fincher-directed "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" leaked back in May. And on Thursday, Oscar-winning industrial-rocker-turned-film composer Reznor and musical partner Atticus Ross unveiled the full track list for their "Tattoo" score album.

The follow-up to their award-winning "The Social Network" score was a labor of love, according to a post Reznor put up on the NIN site on Thursday announcing the disc. "For the last fourteen months Atticus and I have been hard at work on David Fincher's 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo,' " he wrote about the American version of the tale of pierced and punished hacker Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara) and her muckraking journalist compatriot Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig). "We laughed, we cried, we lost our minds and in the process made some of the most beautiful and disturbing music of our careers. The result is a sprawling three-hour opus."

The album will be released on iTunes on December 9 in two versions. Right now, you can download the Karen O song on iTunes when you pre-order the 39-track album. That download purchase will also give you a link to the eight-minute "Dragon Tattoo" trailer, for which Reznor and Ross created a unique score.

But, if you visit the NIN online store, Reznor is offering the soundtrack in a variety of forms, from a free six-track sampler to a deluxe 3,000-piece limited-edition signed $300 package with your choice of MP3 formats; the full album on six pieces of 180 gram vinyl; a deluxe book package with a metal cover; an exclusive custom 8 GB metal razor blade USB drive pendant containing the full album; and a fold-out poster.

The full album score track list is as follows:
» "Immigrant Song" (Led Zeppelin cover) [ft. Karen O]
» "She Reminds Me of You"
» "People Lie All the Time"
» "Pinned and Mounted"
» "Perihelion"
» "What If We Could?"
» "With the Flies"
» "Hidden in Snow"
» "A Thousand Details"
» "One Particular Moment"
» "I Can't Take It Anymore"
» "How Brittle the Bones"
» "Please Take Your Hand Away"
» "Cut Into Pieces"
» "The Splinter"
» "An Itch"
» "Hypomania"
» "Under the Midnight Sun"
» "Aphelion"
» "You're Here"
» "The Same as the Others"
» "A Pause for Reflection"
» "While Waiting"
» "The Seconds Drag"
» "Later Into the Night"
» "Parallel Timeline With Alternate Outcome"
» "Another Way of Caring"
» "A Viable Construct"
» "Revealed in the Thaw"
» "Millennia"
» "We Could Wait Forever"
» "Oraculum"
» "Great Bird of Prey"
» "The Heretics"
» "A Pair of Doves"
» "Infiltrator"
» "The Sound of Forgetting"

Bradley Cooper Ready To Film 'The Hangover Part III'

Actor says Todd Phillips is working on the script now.
By Gil Kaufman

First the good news: Bradley Cooper says that "The Hangover Part III" is in the works. The bad news: it won't start shooting until next September. During an appearance on England's "Graham Norton Show" to promote the DVD release of the domestically $327 million-grossing sequel, Cooper teased that a third edition of the series is in the works. "I personally want to do it. I hope we're going to start shooting in September," Cooper said. "I know [director] Todd Phillips is working on the script."

Norton joked that the $581 million worldwide take of the sequel -- which Cooper noted is the highest-grossing comedy of all time -- suggests that someone might want to greenlight the next chapter. "$581 million, I imagine someone will make that. Even if it's half as successful, it's worth doing," Norton laughed.

Fishing around for what the subject matter might be, say, perhaps a hangover, Cooper rubbed his chin and speculated that new things might be afoot for "Part III."

"We adhered to the formula in the second one, for those of you who've seen it, and the third one, which would close the whole sort of trilogy, which now it would be a trilogy -- even though we thought we would never make a second one, let alone anybody see the first one -- I think it will take place in Los Angeles and maybe not adhere to the structure. It might be different," he said.

Phillips told reporters back in May that he was definitely down for another go 'round. "Quite honestly we really haven't talked about it as we just finished the movie two weeks ago, this is the first time we've all been together in awhile," Phillips said at a press conference. "If we were to do a third one, if the audience... if the desire was there... I think we have a clear idea where that would head and it's certainly not in the same template you've seen these movies ... Obviously, we always envisioned it as a trilogy, as you can imagine. The third would very much a finale and an ending. The most I could say about it — and I haven't discussed it with these actors — is that it is not following that template but very much a new idea."
